NASA, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, is a U.S. government agency tasked to implement the space program for the interests of the United States. NASA was established on July 29, 1958 with several activities that must be done among other things: Space Exploration, development of science and technology and aeronautics research. NASA was founded in response to the United States during the cold war era, the success of the Soviet space program that has successfully launched a satellite known as "sputnik".
Its headquarters are located in Washington DC, while fieldwork in several U.S. Air Force Base, U.S. Air Force base and also at Cape Kennedy Space Center. It bears the motto is: "For The Benefit of All", although in essence, the activities organized by NASA is primarily intended for development in the military field, in this case the development of its national air defense system, or even a system of air attack.
